Frank Hardison


Major Frank Hardison is currently assigned as the Commander of the Eighth Division.

Career

He began his law enforcement career in 1994 as a Deputy with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) where he also served as a Defensive Tactics Instructor.

He joined the former Jefferson County Police Department (JCPD) in 1997.

He has served as a patrol officer in the David District of the former JCPD and the Second Division of the LMPD where he also served as a DARE/Life Skills Instructor, Division Resource Officer (DRO) and as a Division Detective.

As a Sergeant, he has served as an Administrative Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, Bike Sergeant and an Internal Affairs Investigator in the Professional Standards Unit (PSU).

As a Lieutenant, he has served as a Sector Lieutenant, Division Investigative Unit Lieutenant, Special Operations Lieutenant and a Chief’s Office Adjutant Lieutenant.

After being promoted to Major, Hardison commanded the Third Division and the Special Investigations Division.

He is also a veteran of the United States Army where he served as an Intelligence Communications Operator.

Education

He is a Dean's List graduate of the Southern Police Institute’s (SPI) Administrative Officer's Course at the University of Louisville.

Personal Life

Major Hardison is married and has one son.
