Citizens Police Academy
All of these programs are successful with the help of the officers and the participants. All of these classes are free.
To enroll in a class or request further information, you may contact the Louisville Metro Police Department Citizens Police Academy at 502-574-7423 or email us. The Citizens Police Academies are limited to 30 participants, so it is best to get your application in as early as possible.

The Citizens Police Academy
The purpose of the Citizens Police Academy is to educate the public about the police services delivered by the Louisville Metro Police Department, in order to foster understanding and community support for the department.

International Leadership Program
The Louisville Metro Police International Leadership Program (ILP) is a four-month interactive environment designed to deliver the Louisville Metro International leaders a basic knowledge of how the police department operates.

College Citizens Academy
The College Citizens Academy is an open opportunity for students to share their thoughts and changes they would like to see in their police department.

The Latino Citizens Police Academy
The Latino Citizens Police Academy is offered once a year, but with the increased interest in this program, it may be offered twice per year in the future.
