Court Pay
All officers who attend court receive $65 per visit. Overtime is calculated after a two (2) hour period, only if officers are on time and submit proper documentation.

Deferred Compensation
This plan allows the employee to contribute pre-tax dollars up to an additional retirement plan.

Life Insurance
Metro Government provides employees with 1 X annual salary (rounded up), not to exceed $50,000 for life. Accidental Death and Dismemberment is also provided at the same rate as life insurance.

Medical Insurance
Several health care plans are available for employees and family members. Plan availability and cost sharing are subject to annual change. Base plans for single or family are free.

Paid Leave

Pre-Tax Premiums
Premium conversion allows employees to pay for benefits with pre-tax dollars; therefore, reducing taxes and increasing the amount of take home pay.

Retirement
Employees are allowed to participate in a hybrid pension plan administered by the County Employees Retirement System (CERS) of the Kentucky Retirement Systems.

Tuition Reimbursement
Louisville Metro Government will pay $2,000 per year towards tuition reimbursement. If the employee qualifies for an earned income credit, the amount can be $3,000.

Workers' Compensation
Medical bills are paid and disability payments are made in accordance with the Commonwealth of Kentucky Workers' Compensation Laws.

Housing Payment
$5,000 down payment assistance for the purchase of a primary residence in a CDBC eligible census tract.
